Latest Update on Tropical Storm Isaac
In light of Tropical Storm Isaac, please note that Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit of the Commonwealth of Dominica, has announced that all public work services in Dominica has been suspended on the 13th September 2018 until midday on Friday the 14th September 2018, to ensure the safety and security of the state.
In this moment of adversity, all Dominican residents have been asked to follow the advice of the authorities to secure themselves, their loved ones and their assets. Those who live on lands or banks prone to mud slides, landslides, flooding and other hazards, have been especially urged to move to safe ground.
The government is taking every precaution to prepare for this storm and have asked the nation to stay vigilant and resilient.
Please only follow official channels of communication for any updates on the storm to avoid confusion and panic. These official channels are the Office of Disaster Management (ODM), the National Emergency Planning Organisation (NEPO) and Dominica Meteorological Service.
