The High Commission recognises the Dominica Secondary Schools Association (DASSSA)
The High Commission recognises the Dominica Secondary Schools Association (DASSSA) who has donated 140 books published by Papillote Press, 10 to each of Dominica's 14 Secondary Schools. Papillote Press generously supported the project by allowing DASSSA a 50% discount on each of the 140 books chosen. Jane Grell also donated of her books of Poetry.
Ms. Candia Robinson (B. Ed, M. Ed), Ministry of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training & National Excellence sent the following message to DASSSA: 'On behalf of the Ministry of Education I would like to thank you for the pictures sent. Permit me to also relay our sincerest gratitude to Kathy Maclean from DASSSA and Polly Pattullo from Papillote Press for your donation and continued support of our schools re cultural awareness and literacy. I am sure that the schools will make good use of the literature they have received. We hope to maintain a healthy and formidable relationship with you as we endeavour to ensure that our students and staff gain and maintain an awareness of our prolific Caribbean/ Dominican writers who have paved the way to broadening our minds to appreciate our cultural literature.'
