“The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica continues to express sincere gratitude to all those who have partnered with it during recovery efforts in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Erika. The Government recognises that it could not have done it on its own.

A current assessment of the situation and recovery strategy, has revealed that there is a critical need of the following items:

1. Building Materials:
– Steel
– Lumber
– Plywood
– Roofing Material
– Windows
– Doors
– Toilets
– Sheet Rock

2. Fixture and Fittings
3. Construction Tools and Equipment

Additionally, the local private sector is able to supply food, clothing, and other items, so the Government encourages persons wishing to assist families to send cash to allow them to purchase the items locally in Dominica”
